The Business Development Representative (BDR) will play a pivotal role in expanding OpenVPN's customer base and driving growth in key markets. The ideal candidate will focus on generating and qualifying leads, nurturing relationships with prospective clients, and supporting the sales team in closing opportunities. This role is critical in ensuring the company's continued success and leadership in the cybersecurity industry.

Important:

  • This is a full-time remote job, and it will be a long-term B2B contract.

    • Working hours: accordingly to the PST/MST time zone, as you’re going to cover the USA market.

      • The position is available in the following locations: Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation and Prospecting

    • Research and identify potential clients using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, CRM systems, and other data sources.

    • Initiate outbound outreach via email, calls, and social media to build interest in OpenVPN’s products and solutions.

  2. Qualification and Discovery

    • Conduct initial qualification calls to understand the prospect’s business needs, challenges, and goals.

    • Effectively communicate OpenVPN’s value proposition and identify how our solutions address client pain points.

  3. Pipeline Management

    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all interactions in the company’s CRM.

    • Work collaboratively with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads.

  4. Market Insights and Feedback

    • Stay informed about market trends, industry developments, and competitive offerings.

    • Provide feedback to marketing and product teams to refine strategies and offerings.

  5. Collaboration

    • Partner with marketing teams to execute targeted campaigns and events.

    • Assist in coordinating webinars, product demos, and discovery meetings for potential clients.

Job requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a BDR/Sales in the IT domain (SaaS, VPN, ZTNA, networking, security…). Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role, preferably in a B2B SaaS or cybersecurity environment.

  • The ability to work accordingly to the PST/MST time zone as you’re going to cover the USA market.

  • Advanced English level (C1), strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.

  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales tools (Appolo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo…).

  • The position is offered for the following locations: Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Guatemala, and Costa Rica.

  • Reliable Internet connection

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of networking, VPNs, or cybersecurity is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
