As one of the world leaders in the Cyber-Security space, OpenVPN is looking for a B2B Content Marketing Manager.
The Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for working with the marketing team to develop and implement a content marketing strategy, including expanding on the many strategies already in place. This will include developing pitch ideas, managing writers both in-house and freelance, overseeing all content development, writing and editing an array of content including but not limited to blogs, articles, scripts, social captions, web copy, & email campaigns. The ideal candidate will have experience working collaboratively, managing editorial calendars and teams, using SEO strategies to maximize traffic, and have a working knowledge of VPNs and the cybersecurity industry.
Manage the content calendar for the entire marketing department
Ensure all written content is consistent with the OpenVPN brand and voice
Manage and oversee multiple content projects at any given time across departments
Conducts research to contribute to the OpenVPN blog content (i.e. white papers, research reports, etc) that positions OpenVPN as a thought leader in relevant industry trends
Manage the Content Marketing budget and track & report relevant ROI
Develop and maintain a cohesive social media strategy to support the content promotion and website growth
Develop strategies and oversee production for major ‘gated content’ projects to build our email lists, provide resources for current clients, and establish the OpenVPN brand as an authority in the marketplace.
Work with subject matter experts and internal contributors to execute thought leadership and product-specific webinars, e-books, videos, or other major projects on a quarterly basis, completing and overseeing all content development tasks from promotion to presentation
Develops and helps strategize content for specific campaigns across a variety of channels, including direct response email and ads, website, case studies, blogs, infographics, etc.
Works collaboratively with digital marketing and customer success to develop and deliver customer case studies and success stories
Works closely with the product marketing manager to support content development as necessary and make sure all content is cohesive in tone and strategy
Translates product messaging into impactful headlines and communications for digital channels that consider unique value of products, target market, competitive environment, and brand positioning
Writes compelling website copy that leverages SEO best practices and drives conversions
Ensures consistent voice and fine-tuning of product messaging and marketing campaigns
Provide editorial support for the team as needed
Additional duties as assigned
Must have experience managing a creative and/or editorial team with proven leadership skills
Must have outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to establish and stick to content deadlines
Must be able to prioritize collaboration even in a remote team environment
Bachelor’s degree in writing, marketing, or related field preferred
