If you have ever used a VPN service, chances are it was based on OpenVPN, an open-source protocol that we first developed over 16 years ago and that has since become the de-facto industry standard implemented in the majority of commercial VPN software. Millions of companies and individual users worldwide have trusted us to transmit their sensitive data in a secure, encrypted fashion. But this was just the beginning...
We are now developing a whole new range of products aimed to deliver our services in a scalable fashion to tens and even hundreds of millions of customers worldwide. To support this ambitious goal, we have set up an R&D center that will, jointly with our headquarters in the Silicon Valley, be the cornerstone of the future generation of VPN technologies used across the globe. Your contribution
The first line of support (IT HelpDesk) for our employees (account management, equipment maintenance).
Assist in onboarding and offboarding
Provide support and troubleshooting to internal and external facing end-users.
Network administration (switches, routers, Linux servers, APs, controllers);
Managing and Administering user workstations
Maintaining and implementation of security policies.
Create and maintain SOPs for commonly used tools and HOW-TO documentation for end-users.
Job requirements
Experience with user access management; understanding of users, groups, policies, etc.
Experience creating and maintaining policies and SOP documentation.
Experience with help desk/IT ticketing systems
Experience supporting customers in a hands-on environment.
Understanding of basic IT concepts - TCP/IP, networking, routing, firewalls, DNS, DHCP, virtualization, network protocols, VPN, AV Endpoint protection and administration, virtualization, etc.
Fluency in MS Office (including Word, Excel, Outlook) and Office 365 suite.
Great interpersonal skills with a knack for helping people.
Maintain a balance between excitement for new services/tools with a healthy respect for the mundane.
Experience supporting various Operating Systems - Linux, Windows, MacOS.
As a plus:
Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Opgenie, etc)
Practical experience with automation via scripting (Bash, Python, etc)
Experience with IPA(freeIPA)
Familiarity with Cloud Computing Platforms - AWS, Digital Ocean, MS Azure & GCP.
Experience building and decommissioning physical and virtual hosts.
Experience with collaboration tools - we use Slack.
Experience managing Google Workspace.
Experience with Zapier Automation Framework
