Job description
As one of the world leaders in the cybersecurity space, OpenVPN is looking for a strong middle / senior designer to strengthen our design team.
You will work jointly with developers and product managers and be responsible for how our new products look and feel. Most of our products are B2B and intended for a technical audience of IT professionals, so candidates with an understanding of underlying technologies and experience designing products for similar audiences will be strongly preferred.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership and work independently to achieve outstanding results.
Responsibilities:
Drive the design process to produce solutions that balance user needs, business goals, technological constraints
Convert requirements (business objectives, user needs, technical restrictions, timeline) into clean, consistent, and easy to use design
Conduct user interviews and user testing, competitor analysis, and other relevant research and evaluation activities
Identify knowledge gaps and collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to fill them
Cooperate with engineers during the development phase to make sure the product is aligned to design and has a corresponding quality
Job requirements
You should have the following:
4+ years of experience
A great portfolio that shows deep product design skills, both UX and UI
Product success-oriented mindset that balances user needs, business objectives, and technological constraints
Experience working on SaaS applications within the B2B segment
Proficiency in Figma
At least an upper-intermediate level of English, both spoken and written
Outstanding communication & team working skills
Understanding networking technologies is a plus
