We are currently in need of a qualified System Administrator to complement our current DevOps team.
Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes
Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues
Setting up new users and giving them access
Will be performing general Linux and network administration tasks - This includes installation and configuration of switches, firewalls, LDAP, load balancers, new server installs, updating puppet configurations, writing automation scripts, troubleshooting problems, building AWS infrastructure, server installation, documenting configurations, and regular status reports
Perform other duties as assigned
Must have detailed knowledge and understanding of Linux
Must be able to perform Linux administration duties as a Senior Administrator, with virtually no supervision.
Ubuntu or Debian server experience preferred
Experience with various public cloud solutions like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure
Thorough understanding of network administration
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Sys Admin role
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
