Web UI/UX Designer

OpenVPN is a leading global private networking and cybersecurity company that allows organizations to truly safeguard their assets in a dynamic, cost effective, and scalable way. OpenVPN is seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our Web Team.

Responsibilities:

You’ll be providing pixel-perfect static and interactive mockups that portray a realistic sense of how the website should look and behave.

Leveraging best practices in human-centered design, design thinking, and user interface design to facilitate the definition of User Experience (UX) requirements with mission stakeholders and end-users.

You'll work closely with other stakeholders in marketing, product, analytics, and engineering to bring ideas to life.

You’ll be creating and implementing a design library for OpenVPN’s family of websites according to latest industry standards.

You’ll be designing user-friendly web, content and page layouts for mobile and desktop.

Create wireframes, user flows, site maps, and process flows for design ideas.

Create and edit images, animation, and other forms of digital content.

Work side-by-side with Developers to ensure implementation meets the design intent.

Assisting with and/or conducting usability testing and user interviews.

Ideating/brainstorming on solutions to identified problems and user goals

Continuously collecting and reviewing customer data and feedback for optimization opportunities.

Requirements

3+ years relevant UI/UX experience with a strong portfolio building user-centric design solutions.

Proficient in using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Ability to handle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Superior critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Excellence in typography, color, layout, and composition

Proficiency in Figma, Adobe CC, Sketch or similar software

Ability to effectively communicate concepts and design rationale

Ability to thrive within an iterative design process

Open to feedback and collaboration with team members

Foster strong working relationships with team members and cross-functional partners

Ability to maintain context on multiple assignments

Solid UX skills, with the ability to iterate through conceptual ideas and effectively communicate using sketches, storyboards, wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and data visualization.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in illustration, video, and animation (in execution and art direction)

Experience with WordPress, SEO and A/B testing

Experience working with agile project management processes

Design experience with a portfolio showcasing a breadth of marketing campaign work (B2B and SaaS experience is a plus)
